Another example of a specific bridal and gift registry would be the appliances registry whereby the couple registers the appliances that they want for their new home and guests are encouraged to make a payment in the amount of what they wanted to spend on a gift – thereby helping the couple purchase the appliances for their new home. Although some people frown on such new versions of the traditional bridal registry, most people agree that a bridal and gift registry is a practical way for couples to get the gifts they need and want while taking the guess work out of the bridal gift buying process for the guests.
